The course runs on paved bike and walking paths through the Helena Flats area, with a shorter out-and-back option and a longer route that loops south and west through a neighborhood before coming back toward Helena Flats School. The footing is smooth throughout, and the surroundings are residential and quiet rather than wooded or technical.
