About the Love The Run You're With 5k

The course follows the paved path around Lake Hollingsworth, so you have water views for the whole run. It is a couples-oriented event where pairs compete on combined time, though solo entrants are matched up with a partner. The top couples earn awards, and there are handmade chocolates, including vegan options, waiting at the finish.

Bib pickup happens race morning at the lake address, wrapping up before the start. There is no separate pre-race pickup day, so plan to arrive with a little time to spare.

Common Questions About the Love The Run You're With 5k

Will I finish last at the Love The Run You're With 5k?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 29:27, and the last recorded finisher came in around 55:11, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Love The Run You're With 5k a good first 5K?

It is a small race (34 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Love The Run You're With 5k?

The 5K winner ran 17:22 while the median finisher took 29:27. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
