About the Love Speaks 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

The course starts in front of First Baptist Church on Park Avenue, near historic downtown Eunice. The road is freshly paved, flat, and smooth, and a canopy of oak trees keeps most of the route shaded. Proceeds go toward mission work, which gives the morning a purpose beyond the race itself.

Packet pickup the evening before is at First Baptist Church, in the fellowship hall off the side-street entrance. At the finish, there is fruit, refreshments, and a bake sale running alongside. Awards go to overall and age-group leaders in the longer distance; the shorter distance is purely for participation.
