About the Live Brave 5K and 1 Mile

The course runs through Colby Lake Park, a setting with enough open space that spectators can post up near the pavilion and actually see their runners more than once. The courses are certified, with chip and gun timing, so results are taken seriously. Teams compete for prizes, and there is a combined challenge option for runners who want to do both distances back to back.

Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race at a local running store on Bielenberg Drive, with race-morning pickup opening early for those who skip it. Parking fills up, and the organizers point people toward Valley Crossing Elementary School as the better bet, with a short walk to the main site from there. Food and music are at the finish.
