This is a kids' race held in Pioneer Park, south of the tennis courts. Children pick a short distance that fits their age and confidence, then run a closed course through the park. Part of each entry goes to a local child advocacy organization, so the race has a purpose beyond the running itself. The crowd is almost entirely families.
