About the Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon
The course is essentially a tour of Abraham Lincoln's Springfield on foot. It starts at the Old State Capitol, passes the law office where Lincoln worked, goes by the house he owned, and later winds through the cemetery where he is buried. The final stretch goes by a historic train station and ends near the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library.
Packet pickup is held the evening before at a local sporting goods store, and again on race morning right at the Old State Capitol, steps from the start line. The organizers suggest picking up the night before to make the morning easier.
