About the Limbs International 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk
The race is held at Nations Tobin Park, with a shorter walk option alongside the main run. The cause behind it is concrete: all proceeds go toward fitting amputees in developing countries with prosthetic limbs. That gives the morning a different weight than most local road races, and you feel it in the crowd.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a running store on North Mesa Street, if you want to avoid the start-area line. The race also has a virtual option for anyone who wants to participate from a distance.
