About the Liberation and Freedom Days Reparations Run/Walk
The route traces through Charlottesville with purpose, passing sites tied to African American history and stopping by Black-owned businesses along the way. There are two distance options, a longer run and a shorter walk, both following the same general path through parts of the city that rarely appear on a standard race course.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at the Jefferson School Heritage Center, outside the museum shop and cafe. Bibs are also available at the start on race morning, so you are not locked into the pre-race pickup.
