The course starts and finishes at Charlottesville High School, where the track becomes the post-race gathering spot. Runners are encouraged to show up in costume, and a costume contest happens after the run. There are bounce houses for kids and a face painter at the finish area. Proceeds go toward YMCA financial assistance programs.
