About the 20th Annual Lesley E. Smith Memorial 5k
The race is a tribute to a former campus emergency medical services member who died from epilepsy, and the proceeds go to the Epilepsy Foundation. It draws the university community together around a cause, so the crowd tends to be a mix of people who knew her personally and those who just want to show up for something that matters.
Food is out at the finish, along with sponsor prizes. Packet pickup and parking details were not something shared here, but the event is rooted in campus, so the start area will be familiar territory if you have spent any time at UD.
