About the Leprechaun Dash 5K

The race starts and finishes at Tidal Creek Brewhouse in the Market Common district, which means post-race drinks are about as close as they get. Green costumes are genuinely encouraged, so expect a colorful crowd at the start. The course itself runs through the surrounding neighborhood streets, which are flat and straightforward.

Packet pickup the evening before is at a local running company not far from the course, with race-morning pickup available at the brewhouse starting well before the gun. Parking is in the lot directly across from the brewhouse, steps from the start.

Common Questions About the Leprechaun Dash 5K

Will I finish last at the Leprechaun Dash 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 32:05, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:00:14, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Leprechaun Dash 5K a good first 5K?

It is a small race (196 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Leprechaun Dash 5K?

The 5K winner ran 18:28 while the median finisher took 32:05. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
