About the Lake Orion/Rochester - Run Michigan Cheap
The course runs on the Paint Creek Trail, a dedicated path that keeps you away from traffic for the whole race. The surface underfoot is crushed limestone, which is softer than asphalt and runs relatively flat, following the creek corridor through a mix of woods and open stretches.
Pickup is the morning of the race, so no separate trip the day before is needed. The start and finish are at the same spot on Broadway Street, directly across from a Dunkin' Donuts, which makes the location easy to find and easy to return to after you cross the line.
