About the Labor Day Dash 5k
The course runs entirely on trail at Hidden Valley Regional Park, with mostly gentle terrain broken up by a few rolling hills. Views open up along the way, and the setting feels removed from the city even though the park is close in. The race is a sanctioned USATF event, which means timing and age-group awards are taken seriously.
Packet pickup is available the evening before the race at the trailhead near the water towers in the park, with a second window on race morning before the start. That same trailhead area serves as the start and finish, so parking and orientation are straightforward once you find the water towers.

The Labor Day Dash 5k has been held every year since at least 2026. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 23, 2026.
