About the Labor Day 5K Classic
The course runs point-to-point through the streets of Washington, starting at a stone pavilion in a park and finishing near a bowling alley on Jefferson Avenue. It drops steadily the whole way, enough that runners regularly turn in their best times here. The terrain is flat pavement once the descent settles in, and the route is straightforward with no technical sections.
Packet pickup and race-morning registration both happen at the finish-area building, so you can sort out your bib and then walk the immediate surroundings before the start. The age group categories are broken out in fine detail for both runners and walkers, so most people will find a bracket close to their own.
