About the Labor Day 5K/10K/15K
The race starts and finishes in a movie theater parking lot in Kennesaw, with out-and-back routes spreading out from there in different lengths. The terrain is flat and moves quickly underfoot. The event is built around honoring first responders, and the field tends to reflect that, with firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement running alongside the general public.
Packet pickup happens race morning, opening well before the start, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. Water is available at self-serve stations along the course, spaced out enough that runners who want to go fast may prefer to carry their own.
