About the LA Kings 5K
The course runs through the Riviera Village neighborhood, right along the South Redondo Beach waterfront area. It is a coastal setting, so expect ocean air and flat streets near the shore. An opening ceremony kicks things off before the start, and an awards ceremony follows for age-group winners shortly after the field finishes.
Check-in opens the evening before at a separate facility, which is worth taking advantage of if you want a smoother morning. Race-day check-in happens in a vendor village area near the start. There is no bag check, so plan to leave anything you do not need in your car. Restrooms are nearby on a side street a block from the start.
