About the KTFMC 5K At Gainsborough Farm

The course runs on paved lanes through Gainsborough Farm, a working thoroughbred property outside Versailles. Road shoes are fine. The route follows farm roads, so the surroundings are open pasture and horse country rather than pavement through a neighborhood or park. Pets are asked to stay home, which gives a sense of how close you get to the farm itself.

Packet pickup opens on race morning at the farm before the start. The race is organized by the Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers' Club, and proceeds support charitable giving tied to the thoroughbred industry. There is food at the finish, and top finishers take home a julep cup.
