The course starts and finishes at an elementary school, winding through a residential neighborhood on a mix of streets and a short trail section. It moves through circles and cul-de-sacs, so the route has some gentle turns rather than long straightaways. The surroundings are quiet subdivision streets, and the trail stretch gives it a brief change of texture.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local middle school, with race-morning pickup also available. The finish is on the back side of the school parking lot, which gives the post-race area a bit of separation from the start.
