About the Kiwanis 5K Color Run and Pancake Festival
The course starts on a university campus, at a pavilion tucked between two large athletic facilities. Along the route, volunteers toss bursts of color powder at anyone who wants it, so you will likely finish looking different than you started. The shorter fun run and the main race share the same festive atmosphere.
Pancakes, sausage, and your choice of drink are available free to everyone at the finish area, not just runners. A kids zone with face painting and bounce houses runs alongside the race, so the surrounding area fills up early with families from the broader community.
