About the Kitty Beanz Cat 5k
The course starts at Melody Park, winds through Hogan Park, which has a public sculpture as its centerpiece, and finishes under a clock tower. The terrain is park-style and the route is a straightforward out-and-back shape, so nothing technical underfoot. It benefits a local feline rescue organization.
The post-race market at Melody Park is free to attend and open to the whole family. There are food trucks, a live DJ, a carousel, and pet-themed vendors. An outdoor yoga session is on offer for anyone who wants to stretch after the run. Flower bouquets and treats are available at the finish area.
