About the Kids Chance 5K/1 Mile Fun Walk
The race benefits Kids' Chance of PA, an organization that provides scholarships to children of parents fatally or catastrophically injured in workplace accidents. That mission is present throughout the morning, and the mix of a run and a fun walk means the event draws both teams from local companies and individuals who want to support the cause.
Groups and companies can register under their organization's name and compete for a spirit cup awarded to the team with the most participants. It is open to everyone, runners and walkers alike, with no additional entry required to take part in that side of the competition.
