About the Kicking Butt 5K Run/Walk
The course runs a paved route through Waterfront Park along the riverfront. It is flat and open, with scenery along the water. The race has a strong awareness mission around colorectal cancer, and the superhero costume theme means the start line looks more like a block party than a typical road race morning. Dogs in costume are welcome.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the race organization's office, with a race-morning option at the park's Big Four Lawn before the start. The post-race program includes an awards ceremony and family games on site.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Kicking Butt 5K Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
