About the Kenya Impact 5K

The course runs along Gainesville's downtown Midland Greenway, a paved path that makes for a straightforward out-and-back feel. There is also a shorter fun run option aimed at kids and families. Dogs are welcome in their own division, so expect a few leashes at the start line. The race benefits a nonprofit bringing healthcare and education to rural communities in Kenya.

Packet pickup opens early on race morning near the start, and free parking is available close to the Greenway. An awards ceremony follows in the amphitheater area. Teams are encouraged, with recognition going to the largest group and the one that raises the most for the cause.
