About the Gainesville's Thanksgiving Day Cops & Gobblers 5K
The course starts and finishes on the historic downtown square, so the crowd around you at the start is still there when you come back around. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, which means first responders in the field, families on the sidewalks, and the kind of energy that comes from people who have a big meal waiting for them.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local community space on Riverside Drive, or you can grab your bib on race morning at the square. The square itself is closed to cars on race day, but the surrounding parking decks stay open the whole morning and you can leave whenever you are ready.
