About the Kenner's Ole Man River Half Marathon

The course follows the Mississippi River through Kenner's Rivertown district, a stretch of historic storefronts and heritage buildings close to the water. The route is flat throughout, which makes it a reasonable choice for a personal effort on a course that has some genuine scenery to look at rather than just pavement.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a running store in New Orleans, with refreshments on hand. On race day, parking is available in two nearby lots, one off Huey P Long Avenue and another in a garage on Derbigny Street. The finish brings a post-race block party with live music, beer, and food.
