About the Kansas City Temple Run

The course runs through streets closed to traffic, with police officers and volunteers posted along the way. The race is free to enter and tied to a charity donation drive, so the start area tends to draw families who are there as much to contribute as to compete. Strollers are welcome, though runners are encouraged to seed themselves accordingly.

Parking is free but fills up early, so carpooling helps. Spots are available in a nearby police academy lot and along the street, with volunteers directing traffic. Registration and check-in open well before the gun, and an awards ceremony wraps things up not long after the last finisher comes through.
