About the Jurassic Run 5K
The course runs through a dinosaur park, winding past the exhibits rather than cutting straight through. The route is flat underfoot but bends and doubles back frequently, and that is by design: the organizers routed it to put as many of the dinosaur figures in front of you as possible. Spray chalk arrows and caution tape mark the way. Aid stations along the route carry water and sports drink.
The start is beneath one of the large dinosaur sculptures inside the park. Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at the park's west entrance, with a race-day pickup window available for an added fee. An awards ceremony follows near the finish line once the field is in.
