About the July Summer Sizzler 5k + 1 mile
The course runs through Greenway Park on a flat route, which makes it quick underfoot. This is an evening race, so the park tends to fill with families and people stopping by after work. Lawn games and music are part of the scene, and the atmosphere is more block party than weekend race morning.
Packet pickup happens at the park before the start, with a hard cutoff before the gun goes off. There is no grace period, so arriving with time to spare matters. Post-race, the park stays active with the same games and music that were running when you arrived.
