About the JSRC New Year's Eve 2 Mile Twilight Fun Run/Walk
The course runs along the Manasquan beachfront and into the surrounding streets, so you get salt air and open sky for most of it. The terrain is mixed, which means pavement with some variation underfoot. It goes off in the late afternoon on New Year's Eve, dark enough to feel like a proper twilight run but early enough that you have the whole night ahead of you.
Bibs are picked up at Leggett's Sand Bar in the hours before the start, with on-the-day registration as a backup. After the run, the party stays at Leggett's, and there is a free buffet for everyone who ran or walked. Street parking and a rear lot at the bar are both options.
