About the JSRC Deal Trick or Trot
The race runs a certified road course through Deal, a small shore town. The route is flat, as you would expect along the coast, and the surroundings are quiet residential streets. There is also a racewalk option and kids' dashes, so the morning draws a real mix of ages and purposes, including dogs in costume.
Packet pickup is race morning at the Deal Casino, which also serves as the finish area. Park in the north lot only; the south lot is kept clear for emergency vehicles and the finish chute. A barbecue and refreshments are set up right at the finish, and there are costume contests for both people and their pets.

The JSRC Deal Trick or Trot has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
