About the 17th Annual Joshua's Wish Gold Ribbon 5K Run/Walk & Honor Walk

The course at Cavalier Fields is new this year, moving onto a trail layout rather than a road route. The terrain winds through the property, so expect some variation underfoot compared to a typical road race. After the timed run wraps up, a separate untimed honor walk circles the track, and families tend to gather for that portion as much as the race itself.

Check-in and packet pickup both happen on race morning before the start, so there is no need to plan a separate trip the day before. The post-race awards ceremony follows once the walk is done, and the whole event is organized around a childhood cancer research foundation based in Macon.
