About the 10th Annual Jersey City Hillers Marathon and Half Marathon
This is a self-navigated, unsupported course challenge built around hills, not a finish-line clock. Both the half and full routes wind through Jersey City streets with serious climbing, plenty of turns, and views of Manhattan along the way. The full course also passes the Weehawken Cliffs and loops through James Braddock Park. Traffic lights are part of the deal, and elapsed time is what counts.
Runners track their own results through Strava, Garmin, or a similar service and submit a map by email to be placed. There are convenience stores and gas stations along the route if you need to refuel. Turn-by-turn directions are available to download, and carrying them is strongly recommended because the course is genuinely tricky to navigate.
