About the 2026 Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series
The race honors a Willmar community member who passed away unexpectedly, and proceeds fund scholarships for local students in STEM fields. The half marathon and the shorter run both circle Eagle Lake, keeping the water in view for much of the morning. An ice cream truck is on site, and a bean bag tournament runs alongside for those who want to be part of the day without running.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Willmar Senior High School, through the main entrance into the commons area. Race-morning pickup opens early at the same location, with the start area at the school.
