About the Iredell Rise & Shine 5k / 1 Mile Fun Run
The course at Jennings Park moves through nature trails and along sidewalks, so the footing shifts between the two. It is not a technical trail run, but it is not a pure road race either. Strollers are welcome, which gives the start area a certain mix of gear you do not always see.
Food trucks and vendor booths set up around the park, and the event runs long enough that the finish is nowhere near the end of the morning. Dogs are not permitted on the course or in the event area, so leave them home.
