About the INTO THE LIGHT - SUNRISE 5K

The race runs along Richland Creek Greenway before dawn, timing the finish to land at sunrise. The path is a paved greenway trail, so the footing is smooth and the surroundings are park green space rather than streets. Headlamps are recommended, and dogs are welcome on the course.

Packet pickup happens at a local running store and also at an evening party at the McCabe Community Center the week before, where pizza and drinks are on hand. Race-morning parking is available in the lots at McCabe and along nearby streets. The start is early enough that the sky is still dark when runners head out.
