About the Indy Runners Charity XC Challenge
This is a cross country race held on the grounds of a high school, with the course running over natural terrain. The event is organized around charity teams, and the competitive side uses age-graded scoring so runners of different ages and abilities are measured against the same standard. Packet pickup is available the morning of the race for those who miss pre-registration.
Several anchor charities are involved each year, including a permanent team honoring a friend of the running group lost to melanoma. Runners can also form their own team around a cause of their choosing, with a portion of those entry fees going directly to that charity.
