About the Indoor Insanity 5k 2027
The course runs entirely indoors, which is the whole point. Runners circle a loop inside a building, out of the cold and off the ice. To keep traffic manageable, heats are grouped by pace, so faster runners go out first and the field stays spread out. There is also a dedicated walking lane and a kids' run. The race benefits a radon mitigation program for low-income households.
Heats are self-selected based on your usual pace, so you choose the wave that fits you rather than being sorted at the start. The fundraising side is built in from registration, and the organizers encourage additional contributions beyond the entry fee if you want to help mitigate more homes.
