About the Illinois State University Homecoming Town and Gown 5K
The course starts at the Student Fitness Center and winds through Uptown Normal and around campus, so you get a mix of streets you probably already know. There is a hybrid option for runners who want to participate remotely, and the in-person field includes strollers and wheelchair racers alongside everyone else. A zero-waste crew manages the aid station and cleanup.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Alumni Center, with a race-morning window at the Student Fitness Center. A parking garage on Beaufort Street is the designated spot. Refreshments from the Town of Normal are set out at the finish for everyone who crosses.
