About the Howl-O-Ween Hustle
The course loops around a minor league baseball stadium and spills onto a community college campus next door. It is flat ground the whole way, and the surroundings are open and easy to navigate. Dogs on leashes are welcome, which shapes the whole feel of the morning: expect plenty of four-legged participants at every pace.
After the race, there is an adoption event on site, along with a pet costume contest judged in several categories. The post-race scene runs longer than most, with the costume competition giving people a reason to hang around well past the finish.
