About the Illini Veterans Halloween Fun Run/Walk
The course starts at the Chez Veterans Center and loops around the university's Main Quad, right through the center of campus. The terrain is flat and paved, and costumes are encouraged, so expect a fair number of ghosts, superheroes, and Illini-spirited outfits moving through one of the more recognizable stretches of campus.
The event raises money for the campus veterans student organization, with proceeds going toward programming and outreach for military-connected students. The start area at the Chez Veterans Center keeps things grounded in that mission, and the Quad route means the crowd around you is largely students, families, and alumni.
