About the I Got Your Six Walk/Run
The course runs through Perry Farm Park on a smooth paved path that moves between open prairie, wooded stretches, and the riverfront. The terrain stays even throughout, so the surface itself never becomes the challenge. The race honors two local officers, and that purpose sits close to the surface of the whole morning, with several distance options and a virtual entry for those who cannot be there in person.
Dogs are welcome and can be registered to run or walk alongside their owners, which shapes the atmosphere around the start. Proceeds fund scholarships established in each officer's name, so the post-race mood tends to feel grounded in something beyond the finish line.
