About the 2026 HTCI Temple 5K Run/Walk
The course runs through Grassy Creek Park, a renovated green space on the east side of Indianapolis. The surface and layout read as approachable rather than technical, with the park setting giving the route an open, unhurried feel. This is a race tied to a faith community, so the crowd reflects that, but the course itself is open to anyone who shows up.
Parking is at the church on German Church Road, a short distance from the park. That separation is worth knowing ahead of time so you are not hunting for a spot close to the start.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The 2026 HTCI Temple 5K Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
