About the Howl-O-Ween Hustle 5K
This race falls in the Halloween season, and the costume element is taken seriously. Runners and their dogs both show up dressed for the occasion, and there is a contest for the best look. The proceeds go toward funding a service animal partnership for someone in the community, so the cause is local and specific.
Pets are welcome on the course, which shapes the whole feel of the morning. Expect costumed dogs, families, and runners who are there as much for the occasion as for the distance. It is a charitable event with a single, named purpose behind it.
