About the Hot to Trot 5k/10k/Fun Run
This is a Thanksgiving morning race that starts and finishes in front of a Fleet Feet store in the Turkey Creek area. The shorter course loops through the neighborhood and returns; the longer distance adds another loop. The route is on roads, so expect pavement the whole way. Strollers are welcome near the back, and dogs may come along depending on conditions.
Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race at the same Fleet Feet store, which makes race morning smoother. On race day, the pickup tent is set up right at the start. The shorter distances go first, with the Fun Run following later in the morning, so families can stage their day around whichever distance they chose. Handmade awards come from a local artist in Lenoir City.
