About the Hot For Chocolate 5k & 10k
The course runs through World's Fair Park and puts some of the better skyline views in Knoxville right in front of you while you run. It is chip-timed off your bib, so the bib goes on the front. The route is available as a separate course map for anyone who wants to preview it before race morning.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Eddie's Health Shoppe downtown, with on-site pickup available race morning as well. Parking is free at the World's Fair Park lot and at a nearby garage. There is chocolate at the finish, including chocolate-dipped goodies, and awards are handed out once everyone has crossed the line.

The Hot For Chocolate 5k & 10k has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
