About the 2027 Cold Start Warm Finish Family Fun Run/Walk & Canicross
The course runs along the Kona coastline, starting near the Mauka Research Campus gate. Runners get a literal cold start, a splash of deep seawater from HOST Park, before heading out on a road closed to regular traffic for the event. The finish brings music and a wellness party on the other end.
Dogs are welcome on course for the canicross option. After the run, there is a health and wellness fair with local programs and food vendors. A keiki dash finishes with a bubble party for the younger crowd, put on by Hawaii Keiki Museum.
