About the Hope for Haiti 5K and Fun Run
The course runs from Anastasia Church into Anastasia State Park, then winds through a nearby neighborhood before turning back down Old Beach Road to finish in the church's shaded back lot. A natural hammock canopy covers much of the road, so there is real shade for most of the run. The terrain has gentle turns and some rolling through the park before the final stretch home.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race and again on race morning, both at Anastasia Church. Parking is on site. The event raises money for an orphanage in Haiti, and awards go out to top finishers across a wide range of age groups. Food and drink are set out at the finish.
