Holland, MI
The marathon runs the Lake Michigan shoreline, leaving Grand Haven and ending in downtown Holland. The half marathon joins Lakeshore Drive from a camp along the way and follows paved paths into town, the terrain staying mostly flat throughout. The shorter race is an out-and-back on that same flat stretch, which makes it a straightforward morning for anyone newer to racing.
