The course runs through Overpeck Park on a flat, USATF-certified route. The surroundings are park scenery the whole way, and the pace of the field tends to be a mix of people chasing a fast time and others out for a holiday stroll. Warm cocoa and fresh cookies are waiting at the finish.
Parking is at the park pavilion, and bathrooms are on site. The start area has volunteers around, so it is easy to get oriented when you arrive.
