About the Hit the Staxx 10K/5K
The race starts and finishes at Revolution Mill, under the three smokestacks that define the skyline there. Both courses head out onto the greenway, but they split into separate routes, so the longer distance isn't just a repeat of the shorter one. The shorter course is genuinely flat, which is rare for a road race routed through city streets.
Parking is in the large lot off Yanceyville Street and Textile Drive, and a walkable bridge connects it directly to the start area under the smokestacks. The post-race party sets up right there beneath them after the final wave finishes.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
